Meet Maali our Rowing WA SunSmart Mascot!
You may have already started seeing this cheeky looking swan around our social media platforms over the last few weeks - say hi to Maali!
Dressed in our RWA state colours, they represent the five ways to protect ourselves from the sun - Slip, Slop, Slap, Seek & Slide.
You will be seeing a lot more of them as they remind all of us as SunSmart rowers to keep up the good work of protecting our skin & reducing the risk of skin cancer.

Mental Health Awareness Evenings | 15.06.2021 & 16.06.2021
Tuesday & Wednesday this week saw Rowing WA welcome the crew from Outside The Locker Room (OTLR) to present two informative evenings introducing us to discussions around mental health & wellbeing.
Both evenings were well attended with people staying back afterwards to further discuss & ask questions about this prevalent issue affecting so many people these days.
We are now working with OTLR on presenting the second session to this series. If there is a particular area of mental health & wellbeing you would like a spotlight focused on for the next session, please let us know!

The U19, U21 & U23 Australian Rowing Teams came together over the weekend of 10-13 June to race as part of the World Rowing Cup III Simulation Regatta at West Lakes in SA.
It was a wonderful opportunity for our young WA athletes to be able to race alongside the Senior Australian Rowing Team before they head off to Tokyo.

Will You Help Me Change Lives?
Hi! This is Keely and I’m a Lead Coach with Making Waves. I love sharing my passion for rowing with those that wouldn’t normally get the opportunity and seeing the way that our program helps to build their resilience, leadership and aspiration.
I know that we can’t do what we do without our supporters in the shed. To continue to change the lives of young people through rowing we need further financial support for our programs.
Please make a donation this tax-season and help our coaching team to achieve our mission of empowering young people to take opportunities to develop the skills to succeed in life.
