We really encourage you to take up this opportunity if you're available - these workshops give us the skills to make a huge difference to the lives of more vulnerable people in our community.

Celebrate Our Amazing Volunteers!

2023 Volunteers "The Change Makers"

We know all too well, in the sport of rowing, just how important our volunteers are to us. Without them we would not be able to conduct regattas and events for the WA rowing community as efficiently and safely as we do.

National Volunteer Week 2023 is a celebration of the power to drive change and ensure volunteering is inclusive of all members of the Australian community.

Rowing WA encourages all clubs and schools to get behind your volunteers in May and celebrate them.

Welcome to Mindful May!

What is mindfulness?

Being mindful is a way to act spiritually by living in the present moment, reflecting, and noticing the small things. Spending regular time in nature, reflecting, being grateful & living in the moment are some ways mindfulness can be practiced.

Practice the 4 ways to mindfulness:

  1. Beat boredom when waiting in a queue.
  2. Yoga for the mind & body.
  3. Spending time in nature.
  4. During the workday.
