Following the ever-growing, popular event, Rowing WA caught up with Pete Holliday, President of Fremantle Rowing Club for the low-down of the day.

Last Sunday on the banks of the Swan River, at the Swan Yacht Club in East Fremantle, we had a tremendous turnout for the indoor championships, on what was a magic day, and a great event. The 2021 WA State Championships are on the weekend of Saturday, 11.09.2021 & Sunday, 12.09.2021. This is the quintessential regatta of the season with clubs competing for top honours. We will see the best of the best on the water over two days of exciting racing - don't miss out! Head out to Champion Lakes Regatta Centre to cheer on your club.

Suspension of NTC Training Camps
Rowing Australia (RA) this week announced that based on the current lockdowns in both NSW & the ACT, the ongoing uncertainty regarding the extended timelines for these, & the status of domestic border restrictions on interstate travel, it will be suspending the conduct of the National Training Centre (NTC) Testing Camps, currently scheduled for 4 – 8 October, 2021.
Nominations for the Senior Team and the NTC’s will still close on Friday 3 September. Invitations to the NTC’s for Intake 1 will at this stage still be issued on 10 September, 2021 as per the NTC Guidelines.
