Rowing WA is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for female athletes – we have received an invitation to send a women’s crew to the 2025 Rose Regatta, held from 16–18 May on the Jinhuigang River in Shanghai, China.

This prestigious international regatta is hosted by the Chinese Rowing Association and the People’s Government of Fengxian District, Shanghai. The event will include races in the 1000m Women’s Quad Scull (4x) and 500m Double Scull (2x) categories.

All major costs will be covered by the hosts, including:

• International return flights

• Chinese entry visa

• Accommodation and meals

• Local transport

• Participation in cultural activities

The full delegation will travel from approximately 9 May to 20 May 2025. Please note that athletes must be available for the full duration, as travel arrangements are fixed and cannot be modified.

There is prize money on offer for the top three crews.

Crew selection will be based on national results and athlete availability. All athletes must be 18 or older.
