WA Coastal Rowing Group | Seeking EOI's
Published Thu 20 Oct 2022
EOIs requested for WA Coastal Rowing Working Group
As part of the 2022-2027 Strategic Plan for Rowing in Western Australia, Rowing WA is looking to develop a strategy for the development of Coastal Rowing in the state over the next few years and is seeking expressions of interest from people interested in assisting with the development of the State’s Coastal Rowing Strategy. At this stage the commitment is only for 2-3 meetings to review the Rowing Australia Coastal rowing Strategy and re-build through a WA lens.
With the new discipline now confirmed for inclusion in the 2026 Commonwealth Games being held in Victoria, the 2023 Beach Games being held in Bali, Rowing Australia conducting their Inaugural Australian Coastal Rowing and Beach Sprint Championships in Noosa a few months ago and the beach sprint format being considered for Olympic inclusion, there is a lot more focus turning to this new discipline of rowing.
For more information about the growing discipline, check out Rowing Australia’s website HERE

If you would like to be considered for inclusion in the Working Group then please email Rowing WA CEO, Daniel Tackenberg HERE and provide a short summary of why you wish to be involved.
