Vale Andrea Zuideveld Triffitt
Published Fri 20 Jan 2023
Rowing WA is saddened to hear of the passing of Andrea Zuideveld Triffitt.
Andrea was a Penrhos College graduate and won the 1990 Head of the River with Penrhos College, before being in the first intake of women into Swan River Rowing Club when it admitted women as members. She competed in the Interstate Women’s Four for Western Australia between 1991 and 1993, with their best result being a Silver medal.
The Zuideveld family has been synonymous with rowing for many decades. The Wendy Zuideveld Perpetual Trophy for the Schoolgirl Head of the River Regatta Champion School is named after Andrea’s mother.
Andrea passed away on 1 January 2023 at 50 years of age after a courageous battle with cancer.
Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends at this time.
