Rowing WA Office Closed for Renovations

A historic moment as Rowing WA HQ relocates in preparation for renovations.
The premises located at Canning Bridge - home to Rowing WA - became internationally recognised as the finish point for rowing events at the 1962 British Empire & Commonwealth Games. It went on to gain further recognition as Rowing WA "The Home of Rowing in Western Australia" in later years.
This week, staff said goodbye to the premises temporarily as the doors were shut & construction fencing erected around the site in preparation for long awaited renovations to commence with the inclusion of a Bar/Restaurant where the current function room is situated.
This process has taken nearly four years with soil expected to turn on the project in the next few days. With an anticiapted completion in mid-2022, these renovations to the existing premises we all know & love will become a great asset for rowing in WA & no doubt the new favourite meeting place for rowers near & far.
