2021 Hancock Prospecting Rower of the Year Awards

The Hancock Prospecting Rower of the Year Awards recognise the most outstanding contributions from volunteers and the most exceptional achievements of coaches and athletes throughout each year. They are the pinnacle awards within the Australian rowing community and are awarded across a variety of categories each year.

The governing bodies of rowing within each state are invited to put forward nominations to Rowing Australia for these prestigious awards in the categories of:

  • Coles Volunteer of the Year
  • Aon Club of the Year
  • Coach of the Year
  • Para-Coach of the Year
  • Pathway Coach of the Year
  • Boat Race Official of the Year
  • Pathway Rower/Crew of the Year
  • Gina Rinehart Leadership Award
  • Para Rower/Crew of the Year
  • Male Rower/Crew of the Year
  • Female Rower/Crew of the Year
  • 776BC Rowers’ Rower of the Year

In 2021 Rowing WA put forward nominations to Rowing Australia for each category and are honoured to announce that three of our nominees have been selected as finalists.

Congratulations to the following:

  • Coles Volunteer of the Year Finalist: Neville Kempton (SRRC)
  • Boat Race Official of the Year Finalist: Grant Ford (WA BRO/SRRC)
  • Aon Club of the Year Finalist: The University of Western Australia Boat Club (UWABC)

We are incredibly proud of all our nominees & in particular our finalists, who we will be thinking of with crossed fingers on the evening as we wait for results to be announced.

The 2021 Hancock Prospecting Rower of the Year Awards will be held on Friday, 11th March at the Penrith Panthers Event Centre.
