What Is Inclusion?

“Inclusion is the art of ensuring that all people feel welcomed and celebrated for exactly who they are. This means that all differences are viewed as unique gifts that an individual can offer to a group or a community.”

"Inclusion Solutions" believe inclusion is the opportunity for all people to live a rewarding life and participate in a welcoming community. They want everyone to feel welcome, have choice and control, share public spaces and feel a sense of belonging within their community.

The Workshop

"Inclusion Solutions" will provide a training workshop on Social Inclusion and the inclusion of marginalised demographics to Rowing WA.

The workshop has been designed to provide training for volunteers / staff around inclusive best practice, foundations and key theories of social inclusion in regards to volunteering and community.

The workshop will include topics such as:

• Social Inclusion & Disability Awareness
• Building Stronger, Better Connected Clubs
• Attracting Time & Talent – Volunteering
• Inclusive Events
• Introduction to Inclusion
• Asset Based Community Development
• Inclusion & Leadership in Education
