2022 Australian Rowing Championships WA Wrap Up!
Rowing WA would like to congratulate all our athletes, coaches & support staff for their hard work & fantastic results from the Championships!
The Queen’s Cup & King’s Cup are awarded (respectively) to the winning women’s and men’s eight at the Australian Rowing Championships. They are amongst the most historic & hotly contested prizes in Australian sport.
Queen's Cup
As the Championships drew to a close, the much anticipated races of the week commenced with the Women's Interstate Eight - Queen's Cup. Our WA crew of Thea Adamson (UWABC), Georgia Seed (WARC), Leah Franklin (SRRC), Jolie Patterson (WARC), Giorgia Patten (WARC), Gen Hart (FRC), Jacqui Swick (SRRC), Annabelle McIntyre OAM (FRC), & Nic Rogers (WARC) are bringing home bronze for their hard work!
King's Cup
The final race of the day saw VIC, NSW & WA battle it out for line honours. This year our WA crew of Patrick Boere (SRRC), Alex Rossi (WARC), Liam Walker (FRC), Myles McQuillan (SRRC), Guster Laufmann (WARC), Joshua Hicks (WA/SRC) , Jack Cleary (WARC), Sam Marsh (SRRC) & Elinor Scott (SRRC). A battle to the end saw our WA men claiming bronze!
