Hour of Power - Rigging Part 1
Wed 14 Jun 2017 18:00 — 19:30
Event information
Late registrations for this event are closed.
The Hour of Power sessions are a great way to continue your development and education as a coach and/or athlete. Each session will last about an hour to an hour and a half, and will be a mix of hands on, interactive and informative sessions, with a good chance to meet and 'talk' rowing with other coaches and rowers from around Perth.
This is Rigging Part 1, come along to hear some of Mike's thoughts on rigging, suitable for all abilities of rowers, coaches and coxswains. Mike is an expert repairer and builder of rowing boats, operating for a decade under the banner of Mike Quinn Rowing. An accredited Level 3 Coach with the Australian Sports Commission (ASC) and also qualified in Strength Conditioning, he is considered by many to be WA's most successful coach at Club level, with a Silver Medal at the 2007 World Championships in Scotland.
As coaches and rowers we spend endless hours on the water in our pursuit of rowing excellence. However sometimes it is what we do off the water that can have a significant effect to what we achieve in a boat. It can certainly provide an advantage over your competitors.
So come and get a different perspective on current rowing issues, attributes, equipment and analysis to become a better coach and/or rower.
