Hour of Power- Rowing Strength Training for School to Masters Rowers

This Hour of Power will focus on Rowing Strength Training and is targeted towards rowers from School through to Masters. The session will cover a great range of topics including; training principles, how to use strength training to help improve rowing performance and how to utilise injury management techniques to help prevent common injuries. The session will be hands on with participants taken through exercises and movements. Participants will also have the ability to purchase the Rowing Strength Handbook which includes a 16 week Strength & Conditioning Program designed specifically for rowers and consisting of 7 different programs.
Presenting the Hour of Power and author of the handbook, is Mario Lo Presti. Mario is an accredited Exercise Physiologist & Sports Scientist who has worked in the Health & Fitness industry for over 8 years. He has a passion for working with athletes in the area of strength & conditioning having himself competed in 9 Australian National Rowing Championships, winning six national titles during that time. Mario is passionate about sharing his knowledge and experience to help developing athletes achieve their goals. Using the latest evidence based techniques Mario has developed the Rowing Strength Handbook for Athletic Performance & Injury Prevention which allow athletes at clubs and schools to access strength training and injury prevention education.

Individuals can register for $10 or clubs and schools can purchase a bulk ticket for $50 which allows as many of your members to come as you wish.
