Elizabeth Quay Regattas School Alumni Sundowner

Rowing WA would like to invite you and your colleagues to a School Alumni Sundowner to find out more about Elizabeth Quay (EQ) Sprint Regattas and other rowing-related opportunities to better engage your rowing alumni and broader alumni.

The EQ Regattas we have held over the past 2 years have been very popular with school alumni crews. They have proven to be  a unique opportunity to engage school rowing alumni in an exciting format of rowing that requires limited, if any, training and preparation. The natural aquatic amphitheatre developed at EQ, the organic crowds of such a high profile precinct and the close proximity to other services and infrastructure provides a unique opportunity to align alumni activities in a fun and social atmosphere for participants.

With many hospitality establishments located around EQ, it also provides an opportunity to align broader alumni social gatherings with these regattas. The high general public traffic of the precinct coupled with aligned Rowing WA corporate functions held in parallel with the regatta also provides significant promotion for the school alumni crews participating in the event. Rowing WA hold corporate functions in conjunction with these events and we would be delighted to extend invitations to headmasters of schools with crews involved in the regatta.

With many school and school alumni crews having already participated in EQ regattas we encourage others to come and hear from these experiences and how RWA and rowing clubs can support school and school alumni crews participate in future Elizabeth Quay Regattas.

The sundowner will commence at 6:30pm on Thursday 30th August at a location to be confirmed. Registrations close Thursday 23rd August at 5:00pm.
