About the Presenter: Tara Whitney

Tara Whitney specialises in working with organisations to develop robust project and business solutions, then sourcing funding to turn those ideas into a reality.

Whitney Consulting has experience working for State and/or Local Governments in the assessment and management of grant applications. This experience means they are aware of what assessors require in an application and the process for conducting grant funding due diligence.

Tara spent the past 7 years assessing and providing feedback on business cases for the State Government’s Royalties for Regions program, the biggest grant funding program in Western Australia. During this time, Tara managed in excess of $1billion worth of grant fund projects across a variety of sectors, including aged care, recreation, tourism, health, housing and transport and specialised in community infrastructure projects.

Due to her experience in the area, Tara developed and implemented the Department of Regional Development’s due diligence for assessing business case applications. Tara was highly valued as one of the Department’s most detailed and critical assessors and best writers.
