Presented by "Out of The Locker Room" (OTLR), this Hour of Power session will cover the signs & symptoms of mental ill-health, how to begin the conversation if you or someone else is challenged by mental ill-health & how to support someone going through a mental health challenge.

Designed specifically with an aim to help support our young rowers, this is the first of two sessions that OTLR are delivering for Rowing WA.  The second session, to be delivered 4 weeks after this session, will focus on Cyberbullying.

As discussions around mental health & wellbeing can be a sensitive topic of conversation, OTLR will have in attendance on the evening a Welfare Champion, who is a qualified counsellor, to provide one-on-one support.  The age recommendation for this session is 15 years & above.  Coaches & parents are also encouraged to attend & are warmly welcomed.

About Out of The Locker Room

"OTLR is a registered charity founded in 2015 by ex-AFL player Jake Edwards. We deliver critical mental health education and welfare support to community sporting clubs across Australia. In Western Australia, we are federally funded through the Department of Health therefore there is no cost to your club.
 
Our program for sporting clubs has been developed in partnership with mental health and youth service experts and is delivered by both trained program facilitators and registered mental health professionals. 
 
The importance of mental health is becoming clearer and clearer. We want players to be physically and mentally fit, moving well and feeling good. We’re confident that the education and support offered by OTLR will strengthen your club and community."

• Club/School Ticket: $50.00 (allows as many of your members to attend as you wish)
